Minimal Abode

In visual arts, music, and other media, minimalism is an art movement that began in post– World War II Western art, most strongly with American visual arts in the 1960s and early 1970s. Minimalist interior design is very similar to modern interior design and involves using the bare essentials to create a simple and uncluttered space. Simplicity, clean lines, reductive, uncluttered, monochromatic, simplicity, “less is more”—these are some of the terms and concepts that immediately come to mind when thinking about minimalism. Everything should be functional and add value to the space. You still need all of the items in a space for it to function, but in minimalist décor, ‘form’ is very important. Minimalist architecture involves the use of reductive design elements, without ornamentation or decoration.
