French Provincial Honey
Warm and cosy, the French Provincial decorating style is a reflection of the homes in Provence in the South of France in the 17th and 18th century. The colours are inspired by the landscape, sprawling farmhouse tables, stone floors and rough plastered walls. In general, French style always feels chic and elegant, but at the same time, it’s not overdone or unliveable. The spaces feel as if they’re welcoming and they could have been part of a home for generations. French interior design style strikes that ideal balance between intricate details and high-end style, with casual effortlessness. Rustic wood, natural warm tones, floor parquetry, a statement kitchen island, armoire wardrobe, wrought iron, gold accents, gabriole legs, exposed beams, and antique furniture are some of the staple elements found in the French Provincial Style.
